Assessment Tasks

Copy and paste from the following data to produce each assessment task. Write these in plain English and spell out how, when and where the task is to be carried out, under what conditions, and what resources are needed. Include guidelines about how well the candidate has to perform a task for it to be judged satisfactory.
Copy and paste from the following performance criteria to create an observation checklist for each task. When you have finished writing your assessment tool every one of these must have been addressed, preferably several times in a variety of contexts. To ensure this occurs download the assessment matrix for the unit; enter each assessment task as a column header and place check marks against each performance criteria that task addresses.

Set up equipment to make appropriate use of guards, warning devices and safety features, and modify standard operating procedures to suit production process 
Monitor equipment operations to ensure variations or inconsistencies in output are identified, reported and rectified 
Adjust equipment controls and settings to ensure consistency and continuity of production 
Plan and document equipment maintenance, set-up and close-down procedures to support production process 
Inspect product quality and compare with requirements 
Modify the process where required to improve product quality 
Record and report on any non-conformity in product output and investigate possible causes 
Gather, prepare and process productivity information and other data reports in accordance with workplace procedures 
Check and report on all procedures for process and conformity with trial outcomes 
Note reasons for both positive and negative outcomes as per requirements 
Analyse outcomes for trends or patterns that can be used to optimise workplace operations 
Gain authorisation for ongoing work procedures from appropriate personnel for implementation, and negotiate required changes 
Recommend variations to design specifications based on trial outcomes
